Commission Rules provides a list of default commission rules that are applied during imports - order reports, shipping reports, or invoice reports/commission statements.
The default commission rules may be applied by:
manufacturer
sales rep/territory
sales rep commission split
customer
item number
item type
The commission rules may include 1 or more of the above criteria.
In the screenshot below, the Commission Rules table a variety of default commission rules, to be applied during import.
In this table we see Heavenmade Safety Co and the commission rules that apply:
Standard commission rate is 5.00%
But, if it's a safety product:
Safety Products, standard commission rate is 4.00%
But, if it's a safety product purchased by Alpine Paper - Walterville, standard commission rate is 4.50%
If you look through the table you will see all kinds of exceptions to the standard commission rate based on a variety of variables.
